Yellow bell pepper chutney


Description:
Well, I have already shared the recipe for Red bell pepper chutney. Next is yellow bell pepper chutney, please try it out.

Ingredients:
1. Yellow bell pepper -1
2. Onions/Shallots - 1 small onion/5 to 6 shallots(shallots preferred)
3. Tamarind
4. Turmeric powder -1/2tspn
5. Chilli powder - 1/2tspn
6. Curry leaves
7. Urad dal - 1tspn
8. Dry red chillies
9. Mustard
10. Oil
11. Salt to taste

Procedure:
Chop the yellow bell pepper, shallots into small pieces. Take a wok/skillet and pour some oil. Add the shallots/onions first and saute. Next add the yellow bell pepper. Cover the lid and cook till the rawness of the bell pepper goes off. Then add the turmeric powder, chilli powder, salt and tamarind. Cook for few more minutes and turn off the stove. Let the ingredients cool down.



Take a blender and grind the ingredients to make a paste. Add little water to fasten the process. Take the same wok and wipe with  a tissue paper. Pour some oil and splutter mustard, next add urad dal and stir untill the dal starts to change colour. Next cuury leaves and dry red chilli. Pour the chutney into the wok and let it boil for few minutes. Check for salt and add more if required. Incase you want to make your chutney more watery then add more water.
