Mushroom curry


Description:

Mushroom that possess many nutrients like protein, minerals etc and  low in calories are favourite of many. Mushrooms are of two types edible and non-edible, so be careful while buying it. I have posted few recipes of mushroom check out that too. :)

Ingredients:
1. Button Mushroom - 2pkt(use any fleshy edible mushrooms)
2. Onion - 1(medium)
3. Tomato - 1 (medium)
4. Ginger
5. Garlic
6. Bay leaf
7. Mustard seeds
8. Chilli powder - 1tspn
9. Coriander powder - 1tspn
10. Turmeric powder - 1/2tspn
11. Garam masala - 1/2tspn
12. Oil
13. Salt to taste

Procedure:
Clean and wash the button mushroom and set aside. Slice the onions. Chop the ginger, garlic and tomatoes. Take a skillet and dry roast the turmeric powder, chilli powder and coriander powder. Let it cool down and add some water. Then transfer to a blender and make a paste. 




Take the pressure cooker and pour some oil. Add mustard and allow to splutter. Then add the ginger, garlic, bay leaves. Next add the onions and saute till they starts to get transparent. Add the tomatoes and pour in the paste you made. Mix well and allow the gravy to boil. Add salt. Cut the mushrooms into halves and add into the gravy. Add some garam masala too. Mix well and close the cooker lid. Let it cook for 3-4 whistles. 





Once done open the lid and check the gravy consistency. Incase you want to make it thick, cook with no lids for some more time and if you want the gravy to be thinner add some more water. Serve with rice/roti/dosa. Enjoy.
