Potato patties(Aloo tikki)


Description:
A simple and healthy snack.

Ingredients:
1. Potatoes - 2(big)
2. Green peas
3. Coriander leaves - a bunch
4. Mint leaves(optional)
5. Green chillies - 2
6. Chilli powder - 1tspn
7. Chat masala - 1/2tspn
8. Lemon juice - 2 tspn
9. Oil
10. Salt to taste

Procedure:

Wash and boil the potatoes and green peas. Cook them separately as potatoes takes more time to cook. Take a bowl and transfer the boiled potatoes and mash them. Add green peas, chopped coriander leaves and mint leaves, chilli powder, chat masala and salt. Squeeze in the lemon juice. Mix everything together and divide into 10-12 equal portion. Make balls out of each portion .  Take the balls one by one and press lightly. Seal the edges and make patties. Repeat for all the remaining balls. Take a skillet and pour some oil. Shallow fry the patties in batches. Turn over and cook both sides till the bottom of the patties becomes brown and crispy. Transfer to a tissue paper to absorb the oil. Arrange it on a platter and serve with some ketch up or chutneys.
