Red bell pepper chutney


Description:

Bell peppers are available in different colours red, yellow and green. They have a wonderful combination of tangy taste  and crunchy texture.

Ingredients:
1. Red bell pepper(big) - 1
2. Tomato - 1
3. Dry red chillies - 3
4. Garlic pods
5. Tamarind
6. Mustard
7. Urad dal - 1tspn
8. Curry leaves
9. Oil
10.Salt to taste


Procedure:
Wash and chop the red bell peppers, tomatoes and garlic. Take a skillet and pour some oil. Add the garlic and dry red chillies and saute. Then add the bell pepper, tamarind and tomatoes and cook till the raw smell disappears. Switch off the stove and let it cool down. Transfer the ingredients to a blender and make a fine paste. Pour some more oil to the wok and splutter mustard, curry leaves and urad dal. Transfer the chutney to the wok and add salt.





Let the chutney cook for sometime and once it starts to boil turn off the stove and serve. Yummy chutney is ready.
