Stuffed Capsicum with Kheema

Description:
Capsicum are amazing vegetables with health benefits  and are often referred to as `Bell peppers` too. Green capsicum/green bell pepper, red bell pepper and yellow bell pepper are widely used in many cuisines around the world.

Ingredients:
1. Red bell pepper - 1
2. Yellow bell pepper - 1
3. Green capsicum - 1(I used 2 medium sized capsicum for this recipe)
4. Onion - 1(medium)
5. Tomato - 1(small)
6. Ginger
7. Garlic
8. Turmeric powder - 1/2tspn
9. Chilli powder - 1tspn
10. Coriander powder - 1tspn
11. Garam masala - 1/2tspn
12. Cheese(optional)
13. Minced chicken- 250 to 270 gms
14. Oil
15. Coriander leaves
16. Black pepper powder - 1tspn
17. Salt to taste

Procedure:

Keema preparation:
Pour 2-3 tspn of warm milk over the minced chicken.  Slowly mash the chicken with the help of a spoon. Adding warm milk will avoid the formation of lumps/chunks of mince during the preparation. Chop the onion, ginger, garlic, coriander leaves and tomato. Take a skillet and pour some oil. Add the ginger and garlic first, then goes in the Onion. Saute the onion till golden brown and then add the tomatoes. Cook till the tomatoes are done. Add the turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder, pepper powder and garam masala and cook for sometime. Finally add the minced chicken and mix properly. Even add the coriander leaves too. Close the lid and cook. Occasionally give some stirs and cook till the chicken is done. Turn off the stove and let the keema stuffing cool down.

Prepare the Bell peppers:
Clean and wash the bell peppers. Pat them dry with a tissue paper. I used 2 big bell peppers and 2 medium sized green capsicums. Cut open the top part of the big bell peppers but don`t separate into two part.  Scope out all the grains inside. For the medium sized green capsicum I cut them from middle without separating into two pieces.

Start filling the bell peppers with the keema stuffing. Stuff as much as possible and on top you can spread very little cheese. Well, adding cheese is an optional step you can skip it. Meanwhile set your oven on preheat mode(220deg). Once the stuffing is done take a baking tray and grease with some oil.  Take each stuffed bell pepper and rub little oil on their outside. Place all the bell peppers in the baking tray.

Once preheat is done transfer the tray into the oven and bake for almost 20 minutes on 300 deg. When the bell peppers are cooked it will become very soft. After 20 minutes take out the tray and  prick with a fork to see whether the bell peppers are cooked and soft.

Incase you feel it needs to be in the oven for some more time then put them back and bake for another 5-10 minutes. Let the bell peppers cool down before serving. Everyone is going to love it. Enjoy.
