Dry Prawns Sambal( Katta sambol inspired)

Description:
Katta sambol is a Sri Lankan chutney that is served as a condiment. The main ingredient of this dish is the Maldive fish. We don`t get this particular fish at my place so I substituted it with Prawns instead.

Ingredients:
1. Maldive fish/Dried prawns - 1 cup(I used dried prawns)
2. Lime - 1
3. Dry chillies - 3 to 4
4. Salt to taste

Procedure:
First you have to clean the dried prawns. Either soak the dried prawns in warm warm for 10-15 and then squeeze out water and use or slightly dry roast the prawns for preparation. I was making a different curry with the dried prawns that is dry roasted. Suddenly I thought to make sambol so used that same dry roasted prawns. While roasting toast in the dry red chilli too. Take the motor and pestle and drop the dry chillies and salt first. Start crushing them and then add the dried prawns . Continue crushing and finally squeeze in the lime juice.

Easy and ready to be served.
